Day-to-day:
- Draft legal correspondence, including answering informal and formal discovery.
- Develop and maintain billable hours for individual cases.
- Maintain and organize spreadsheets and timelines while managing new updates and deadlines in multiple cases.
- Assist with mediation and trial preparation by preparing and organizing relevant documents, expert material, pleadings, depositions, and exhibits.
- Organize financial documentation.
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
- Manage and prioritize projects to meet various deadlines.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of work experience as a Family Law Paralegal in a law firm.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, i.e., legal writing.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with deadlines.
