About the Role: A well-established family law firm in
Birmingham, Michigan is seeking a skilled and reliable
Family Law Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least
three years of experience supporting attorneys in family law litigation. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to clients cases while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Location: Birmingham, Michigan
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 annually + Biannual Bonuses
Benefits: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, Winter and Spring Bonuses, Paid Parking
Key Responsibilities:- Draft, edit, and prepare legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, and financial disclosures
- File documents with courts and manage service of process
- Maintain and organize case files, both digital and physical
- Manage calendars, schedule court appearances, client meetings, and other case-related deadlines
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including compiling trial binders and exhibits
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Track deadlines and provide proactive support on case management
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on family law litigation or Insurance Defense
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Michigan court procedures and filing requirements
- Professional demeanor and discretion when handling sensitive matters
Compensation & Benefits:- Competitive salary of $60,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience
