A well established and loyal client is looking for a Family Divorce and Finance Solicitor, who will play a key role in handling a wide range of cases and developing the sales and Business development. We are prepared to speak with applicants of varying levels of experience as our client would welcome both newly qualified and experienced candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in divorce and financial remedy matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to cases.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court pleadings.
- Collaborate with the legal team to achieve personal and team goals and objectives.
- Utilise advocacy skills to represent clients at Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal procedures.
- Provide excellent client service, maintaining clear communication and addressing client concerns.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of legal practice.
Requirements:
Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, with expertise in practice and procedure related to Divorce and Financial Remedy matters.
Possess in-depth knowledge of cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, and TOLATA claims.
- Technical Proficiency:Must be proficient in using the HMCTS portal, Microsoft Word, Excel, Case Management systems, and MSTeams.
- Administrative Skills:Ability to be self-sufficient in typing and time recording, reflecting strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to Detail:Must have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and filings.
- Team Collaboration:Willingness to be an active part of a team, working collaboratively to achieve both personal and team goals and objectives.
- Advocacy Experience:Previous advocacy experience is essential, with a willingness to conduct advocacy at Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in dealing with Divorce and Financial Remedy matters.
- Strong advocacy skills with experience in Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
