Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Family & Matrimonial Law Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling a broad range of family law and matrimonial cases, including high-net-worth divorce matters, custody disputes, spousal and child support, equitable distribution, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family and matrimonial law matters including divorce, legal separation, child custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and property distribution.
- Handle high-conflict and high-asset cases with discretion and legal precision.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, financial disclosures, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct discovery, prepare for trial, and appear in court and mediation as needed.
- Develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients throughout their cases.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients during mediation and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Maintain detailed case files and regular client communication.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in family and matrimonial law.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.
- Ability to handle complex financial and custody matters with confidence.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Empathetic, client-centered approach with a high level of professionalism.
