South Shore Early Education, a program of the South Shore Community Action Council, is a private non-profit organization providing multi-level program support across the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands. We are seeking a full-time Family Advocate, working 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, at our Plymouth location. All benefits apply.
Position Details:
30 hours per week; 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with families to set goals and objectives, and facilitate connections with outside referral agencies.
- Assist families through the transition from the program to kindergarten.
- Adapt to the referral process within the program and work within its components.
- Provide licensed social work or caseworker services.
- Conduct home visits with preschool-age children and their families.
- Travel within the service area as required.
Core Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field; a Master's in Early Childhood Education (EEC Teacher Certification) is a plus.
- Licensed social worker preferred; demonstrated caseworker experience of at least 5 years may substitute for LICSW.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Bilingual abilities in Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish are preferred but not required.
Minimum Employment Requirements:
- Background checks including CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprinting are mandatory before employment begins.

- Must hold a valid MA driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
