General Summary of Position:
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor to build an adjunct pool and to teach two Chinese language course in Fall 2025 (Chinese 1 and culture , and Chinese 3 and Culture). The successful candidate will be expected to start classes on September 3 rd , 2025.
Under the guidance of the Chair of the department, the ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. UMass Lowell is an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving-Institution (AANAPISI): . The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks candidates who can contribute to that goal. Instructors will be expected to attend a scheduled orientation in January.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
M.A. degree or above in Chinese in hand.Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English required.Teaching experience at the college level in lower-division courses.Special Instructions to Applicants:
