We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results oriented FACILITY MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR. It is Micro Center's core promise to take care of our associates and customers which has led to our success over the last 40+ years.
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks related to maintaining the home office complex, support new store openings with regard to store facility set up, along with receiving and processing deliveries and shipments. This role will assist in administrative duties such as establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and contractors, support new store openings with materials and facility items along with some existing store needs, and help maintain our ServiceChannel facilities maintenance platform and manage our WEX statements expense tracking. Someone that would be ideal for this role would be Facility Leads or Project Managers with the ability to handle multiple requests, is detail oriented, along with strong organizational skills.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
- Perform routine inspections and light to medium duty maintenance, repair and replacement of lighting and equipment throughout the corporate campus buildings. Some maintenance requires outside standard-hours scheduling.
- Schedule and coordinate with Landlord, as necessary, any building security, alarm and inspections/permits as required. On call list for security alarm response for home office campus.
- Operate standard warehouse equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, forklift, dock ramp, ladders.
- Maintain good security habits at dock and back doors by supporting safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Receive and sort incoming mail; meter outgoing mail and coordinate pickups.
- Accurately process, receive and track all inbound and outbound packages carriers including, but not limited to UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS, Freight deliveries/equipment.
- Perform administrative duties such as maintaining the ServiceChannel facilities project platform, ordering supplies, calling on vendors for equipment repairs, processing checks, generating reports, answering phones, processing surveys, corporate warehouse organization and inventory.
- Manage WEX cards and inventory for store equipment, and vendor and contractor relationships including but not limited to coffee and vending, restroom, cleaning, first aid, clothing, shopping carts, lighting, etc.
- Coordinate shipments to stores, as well as new store openings, with the Distribution Center to ensure proper equipment gets delivered to stores.
- Assist with the ordering of supplies for new store openings.
- Perform other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must schedule and successfully complete training for forklift and obtain certification within first 90 days of employment. Two-hour training completed on-sight.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prefer at least one year of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Ability to use the equipment and tools needed to perform the job, which include pallet jacks, forklift, ladders, computer systems, and general office equipment typical of those in an office/light distribution environment.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize and resolve issues remotely.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient with Excel with experience in expense reporting.
- Ability to problem solve, think critically and ask questions to formulate solutions.
- Ability to stand at least eight hours per day.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
