Job Title: Facility Electrician

Description:
Our is in the business of providing comprehensive design and construct services for state-of-the-art data mining facilities. Additionally, the Company currently provides post construct facility maintenance and staffing services for the facilities.
The Company is currently looking to hire a Facility Electrician to perform and/or direct various electrical installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at a client's data center facility. Some of the duties involve hands-on work to complete tasks and meet goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May have a direct report
- Schedule and manage electrical contractors and subcontractors
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Maintain 120v to 35kv systems
- Perform regular maintenance and inspection activities on facility electrical systems and equipment
- Inspect panels
- Terminate high side and low side of transformers
- Repair and replace field service disconnects, switches, etc.
- Perform electrical testing and commissioning
- Work alongside other facility staff on electrical maintenance, new construction, and additions to meet the needs of internal and external customers
- Keep track of inventory and order parts
- Adhere to the proper use of the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety standards for the industry.
- Manage a direct report and delegate tasks
- Supervise, manage, and coordinate all electrical activities at the facility including work performed by electrical contractors and subcontractors
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of electrical preventive maintenance experience including relevant experience with low and medium voltage systems
- Journeyman License in Electrical
- Ability to read plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Initiative-taker who will thrive in an ambiguous startup environment
- Ability to respond to after-hours issues as needed
- Authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Electrician licensed in the state of Texas
- Prior construction industry experience on commercial and/or industrial projects working with other trades
- Collaborator with effective communication skills to coordinate with and lead others
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to constantly move about the site
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service electrical equipment
- Constantly operates tools, pulls wire or cable, and replaces switches
- Ability to observe details at close range and see color to discern color-coded wiring
- Constantly positions self to repair electrical equipment
- Frequently works in extreme temperature conditions including dusty and dirty environments
- Occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across site for various needs
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
