What this job involves: We are seeking a Facilities Support Technician for our Integrated Facility Management business line at our Hillsboro, Oregon site. This 75-acre campus, located 20 miles west of Portland, houses Technical Operations (TO) and Individualized Therapies (IT) facilities. As the primary manufacturing site for U.S. drug products and a hub for cell and gene therapies, this facility employs over 600 people across state-of-the-art filling lines, finished goods packaging, and a distribution center. The Facilities Support Technician will report to the Sr Facilities Manager and will be responsible for managing day-to-day facilities requests, maintaining a high level of security awareness, and adhering to emergency procedures and Health & Safety protocols. This role is crucial in supporting the seamless operation of this cutting-edge biopharmaceutical facility.


What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Experience in dealing with daily requests & answering trouble tickets
  • Small works, patching & painting, locks, handles, door closers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, deliveries & collections, and some small projects management.
  • General janitorial duties, unblocking toilets, rubbish removal etc.
  • Replace defective light bulbs
  • Internal moves
  • Escorting vendors
  • Understand and comply with site health & safety requirements at all times & work in a safe manner
  • Ensure they wear suitable PPE where required & understand all risks in association with the tasks they are undertaking
  • Able to carry out risk assessments relevant to the task.
  • Support the Soft Services Lead and the facilities team where required.
  • BMS/ system knowledge
  • Team support
  • All other duties and tasks assigned

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM


Desired or Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience with strong DIY and basic carpentry skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
