The Facilities Operations Part Lead - Sr Engineer is a highly experienced individual who will lead the Facilities Repair & Maintenance Operations. This role will be to lead, mentor, and develop the Operations team of associates and contractors through daily workload assignments, training, project management, and budget development. Responsibilities include providing schedules, reports, & presentations to department and company leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Process Management - Guide scheduled maintenance & repair activities using engineering discipline/knowledge
- Lead Operations manpower and provide oversite of daily tasks, projects, workloads
- Provide daily mentoring and guidance for the Operations staff
- Lead the management of facilities managed site, buildings, and equipment
- Support Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) development, Preventive maintenance schedules, and KPI review reporting
- Review equipment and site concerns with department leadership
- Develop presentations and reports to share with company leadership
- Maintain organizational budgets for maintenance and repair activities, installation, or replacement of facility assets
- Arrange and manage appropriate contracted services support, as needed
- Develop contracts for maintenance services not completed in-house
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds defined organization targets
- Confirm deliverables comply with associated contract documents, codes, and regulations
- Lead Operations team & contracted workforce with assignment of daily tasks
- Mentor Operations staff to support growth of skills and knowledge
- Utilize knowledge of equipment, utility, and infrastructure systems for troubleshooting
- Project tracking and reporting for PDCA and Waterfall chart development
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline required
- 7+ years of related work experience
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Positive attitude, open minded, and team player
- Knowledge of building codes, governing regulations, and industry standards
- Knowledge of industrial building equipment, including PLC, variable speed drive, HVAC, & pumps
- Experience with CMMS (Maximo) type of asset management system software
- Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD / Revit capabilities
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills; customer focus (building productive relationships)
- Effective communication of ideas to gain consensus from individuals or teams
- Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Comprehending technical drawings and specifications
- Planning and executing special projects and reporting
- Ability to balance the wants /needs of the customer with facilities' operational requirements
- Knowledge of project flow, budgeting, and cost reporting
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Korean language proficiency is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in both office and shop environments
- Hands-on support of equipment
- Flexibility to work adjusted shifts, as necessary
- This role could require up to 10% of travel (domestic or international)
