The Facility Manager will provide expert facility management support responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of designated facilities. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that buildings, grounds, and related systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The Facility Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including building occupants, vendors, and contractors, to provide a well-maintained and functional environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement operational procedures and policies for facility management. Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of assigned facilities, including building systems, grounds, and common areas. Manage and monitor facility-related contracts, such as janitorial services, landscaping, and security. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facilities. Coordinate with assigned DPW to manage the preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Coordinate and oversee the repair and maintenance activities of facilities, including scheduling and prioritizing work orders. Manage and monitor the performance of maintenance contractors and service providers. Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving the overall condition of facilities. Analyze space requirements and develop space allocation plans for efficient utilization of facilities. Coordinate office moves, renovations, and space reconfigurations to meet changing needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address space-related issues or concerns. Manage and oversee facility-related projects, such as renovations or upgrades. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and procedures for facilities. Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure the safety of building occupants during critical incidents. Conduct regular drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility operations, maintenance, and compliance. Prepare and present reports on facility performance, budgets, and other relevant metrics to senior management. Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Military training and experience can be substituted for a degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management. Strong knowledge of facility management practices, health and safety regulations, and maintenance procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Desired: Advanced degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Experience working with military facilities and infrastructure. Certifications in facility management, such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP).
