A leading premium food manufacturer is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, compliance, and capital improvements at its flagship production facility. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, food safety, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.

Description


  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Lead and develop a facilities team, including maintenance technicians and janitorial staff.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Support plant safety initiatives and collaborate with EHS teams to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and manage utility usage (water, electricity, gas) and identify opportunities for cost savings and sustainability improvements.
  • Coordinate facility upgrades, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and regulatory documentation.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and facility compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, projects, and teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
