A large, upscale continuing care retirement community in Cockeysville, MD is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their leadership team. This is a newly created position that is much needed for their beautiful 94-acre campus.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for providing timely, competent, and professional delivery of facility services (Maintenance, Housekeeping, Transportation, Campus Safety, Grounds/Landscaping, Community Services) for residents and team members of the community and to function as a backup/resource/liaison for the Senior Director of Facility Services.

Key qualifications:
- High school diploma REQUIRED and additional Facilities Certification preferred
- 5+ years of Facilities Management experience
- Experience in a senior living setting preferred
- Professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Strong background in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life safety, and fire protection systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and county health and sanitation codes and regulations pertaining to a healthcare setting (CMS, MOSH, OSHA, NFPA Life Safety Code, etc.)
- General plant management knowledge
- Experience with budgeting and purchasing practices/procedures
- General knowledge of and direct experience with mechanical, carpentry, transportation, safety, housekeeping, and grounds-related tasks and regulations
