Description:

We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machine-related software and hardware issues, attending project meetings, and staying up to date with the latest software and technology developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to work independently and part of a team as necessary. The IT Technician will work primarily in a manufacturing environment working with machines and machine operators. With this role there is occasional travel to other company sites around the world.


Position Type + Hours: This is a permanent full-time, salary position. Core schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40+ hours per week. This position may require, from time to time, working outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate system maintenance and upgrades. This role would also include some international travel possibly for onboarding and continuous training.

Requirements:

Install, configure, and maintain machine related hardware and software systems

Troubleshoot and resolve machine related hardware and software issues

Monitor and maintain computer systems

Provide technical support for machine operators

Participate in project meetings to provide technical insight and expertise

Collaborate with other internal IT professionals to identify and implement best practices

Provide technical responsibility for automation system design on upgrades and new control

system projects

Perform analysis of processes and systems to propose viable solutions

Monitor new technologies and identify opportunities for implementation of those

technologies where they may improve products and processes

Provide training and support on equipment, systems, and best practices as needed

Evaluate systems and processes by gathering feedback from operators and machines to

recommend changes that improve the reliability and performance of existing ones

Program simple applications and systems


Required Skills:

Advanced computer skills, including the ability to implement and monitor computer

programs

Aptitude to understand IT concepts, programming languages, and operate machinery

Maintaining and troubleshooting machine-related software and hardware issues

Excellent project management skills

Strong attention to detail to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose problems between

machines, computer programs, and production processes

Possess strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as with others, when

needed

Proven ability to communicate well in written and verbal communications to co-workers

Soft skills including a positive attitude, flexibility, and conflict resolution

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly


Minimum Requirements:

0-2 years experience with machine mechanics, computer control systems, and/or a related

discipline

Has passport or could attain passport for international travel

Passion for learning and exploring new ideas
