Job title: Maintenance Fabricator

Division/Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Fabricator will perform all required maintenance of the plant facilities and equipment in accordance with all Regulatory Requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices in a safe, efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair, maintain and test plant equipment and facilities as required
  • Safely perform cutting, grinding, welding tasks in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Read and interpret blue prints, templates and designs
  • Measure and fabricate conduit and piping runs
  • Fabricate parts, components and structures of various materials
  • Coordinate and work with vendors and contractors when on-site
  • Maintain records for maintenance work performed and complete all required documentation
  • Participate in continued improvement initiative
  • Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools
  • Follow safe work practices to maintain safe working conditions
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Clean building exteriors and grounds, assist in snow and ice removal
  • Assist in ordering and inventorying all necessary supplies and parts to perform required duties
  • Perform routine audits for maintenance and safety
  • Perform work in confined space
  • Execute other responsibilities and projects as required
Requirements:

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Technical/trade school certification
  • Use of hand and power tools able to perform mechanical repairs
  • Minimum of 10-years of metal fabrication in an industrial production environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • 24-hour-a-day availability required
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • High safety sensitive position, must be able to wear a respirator and able to work at high altitudes
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and be forklift certified
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs., climbs stairs, ladders, frequently walk facilities and stand for long periods of time


Compensation details: 28.26-28.26 Hourly Wage
