Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to direct and supervise all operation, maintenance, and repair activities across our food manufacturing facilities. This role involves considerable independence in scheduling maintenance activities, determining proper work methods, and supervising skilled and semi-skilled maintenance associates. The ideal candidate will ensure all buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards while working closely with other departments to minimize disruptions to operations.


Key
Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management: Plan, coordinate, and direct the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds


  • Project Oversight: Manage upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects


  • Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and coordinate with service providers for specialized work


  • Grounds Supervision: Oversee maintenance of outdoor areas including lawns, sidewalks, and parking lots


  • Budget Administration: Manage departmental budget for operations, equipment, and supplies


  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to determine repair needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations


  • WorkScheduling: Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize interference with business operations


  • Technical Direction: Supervise projects involving maintenance, repairs, and additions to buildings and structures


  • Systems Management: Actively manage the CMMS system and preventative maintenance program


  • Team Leadership: Develop and manage an effective maintenance workforce through hiring, training, and supervision



Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or related field


  • 5-7 years of buildings and grounds management experience in food manufacturing


  • Experience in frozen food industry strongly preferred


  • Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and construction


  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in food manufacturing environments


  • Strong project management and organizational skills


  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities


  • Proficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance planning


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans


  • Experience managing maintenance teams and contractors



Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
