Job Title: Maintenance Engineer II
Location: Waterloo, IA
Contract Duration: 36 Months
Expected hours: 40 Hours per Week
Schedule: Onsite - 1st shift position, 7 am to 3:30 pm with some overtime based on production schedules/volumes.
Pay Range: 40-43 $ Per hour

Position Overview:
This role involves working with machine maintenance skilled trades and manufacturing engineers to develop Preventative Maintenance Plans and enter them into SAP for scheduling and workload leveling. You will also provide engineering design and project management for facility infrastructure, grounds, production equipment, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design infrastructure for facilities, grounds, and production equipment.
Manage integration-heavy projects across engineering disciplines.
Troubleshoot and support operations infrastructure.
Respond to urgent production issues.
Maintain cost control on assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
Address environmental and ergonomic risks.
Source materials and services; manage procurement.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Engineering/Design Technology, or equivalent experience
Experience in machine design and troubleshooting
Proficiency in writing maintenance procedures
Working knowledge of SAP or other CMMS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience
Experience in industries similar to John Deere preferred
