PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform tests, diagnostics (troubleshooting), maintenance (including preventative), repairs and inspections on company facilities and/or equipment.
- Manage maintenance schedule of facility.
- Interface with outside contractors and a vast array of internal clients
- Arrange for third party training or provide training as needed.
- Ability to startup/shutdown facility utility equipment including a steam boiler and clean steam generator.
- Comply with OSHA and other local, state and federal regulations.
- Respond to emergency and after-hours situations to ensure employee and facility safety.
- Support the Company's 5S program in an effort to main work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working manner.
- Be part of the design team for any facility expansion or construction projects, taking the lead and providing input when needed.
- Take pro-active approach on facility expansion or construction projects.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Coordinate work with other departments.
- Support and or perform soft services associated with outdoor snow handling, lawn and landscaping, waste management and janitorial, pest control.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma and Trade School Certificate along with 5-6 years related work experience or an associate degree in an engineering discipline with 4 years related work experience.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Maintains a working knowledge and stays current on operations of new systems such as HVAC/R, fire alarms, electrical motors, boilers, RO Systems, chilled water systems, plumbing systems, wiring practices, etc.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
