We currently have an exciting career opportunity in our Information Technology team for a Facilities Engineer.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE.

As an Infrastructure Engineer focusing on Building Facilities Systems, you will collaborate with cross-functional IT, real estate, and facilities teams to design, implement, and optimize technology solutions that manage our physical environments. You'll help maintain and enhance building automation and monitoring systems while ensuring security, compliance, and efficient operations.

As an entry to mid-level professional, you will ensure the seamless integration of building automation systems (BAS), security systems, HVAC controls, and other facilities-related technologies into our broader IT infrastructure, supporting a comfortable, safe, and productive working environment for employees across the firm.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Building Automation & Monitoring:
  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of suite automation systems (e.g., temp sensors, door sensors, power monitoring, etc.).
  • Monitor system performance, usage data, and alerts, proactively addressing issues to ensure optimal environmental conditions.
  • Manage notifications of building maintenance, circuit maintenance, etc. Communicate maintenance windows with appropriate internal resources.
Security & Access Systems:
  • Coordinate with security teams to integrate and manage surveillance cameras and door sensors.
  • Implement best practices to protect systems against unauthorized access and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Infrastructure Integration & Optimization:
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless network connectivity and data flow for building facilities systems.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize energy usage, reduce operational costs, and enhance system reliability via automation and analytics tools.
  • Utilize tools including Visio, Sunbird, and Revu BlueBeam to complete new office designs including Server Room layouts, rack drawings, data network port locations for the suite, etc., in collaboration with the network team
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure and Facility teams to communicate, facilitate, and complete low voltage, sound masking, and audio-visual scopes.
  • Work the with CohnReznick Network Team installing/configuring/managing network and power hardware/software
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with external vendors to troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure software and hardware.
    Communicate requirements and project progress to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Communicate and provide low voltage, sound masking, and audio-visual scopes to external vendors for quote procurement
  • Oversee completion of low voltage, sound masking, and audio-visual scopes
  • Collaborate with the network team for procuring quotes of networking and power hardware/software/licensing
  • Lead in ordering, tracking, and deliver of networking and power hardware/software/licensing
  • Collaborate with the network team to order new Internet circuits and assist in managing Internet circuits
Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and system inventories.
    Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOX) by following and enforcing established policies for facilities systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of Technology and Facilities Integration workflows including depicting ETAs.
Incident Response & Support:
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated network and audio-visual systems incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to restore services promptly.
  • Assist in root cause analysis, recommending process improvements to minimize future occurrences.
YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional Experience:
  • 1-4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, facilities engineering, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure systems and tools (e.g., Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Schneider Electric, Visio, Sunbird) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Honeywell) is a plus.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and Windows- or Linux-based servers.
  • Exposure to security/access control systems (surveillance cameras, badge readers) or IoT devices is an advantage.
    Ability to interpret building diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Soft Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose issues in a complex environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset, willing to learn and adapt to new technologies in building automation and infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage tasks (initiate and complete independently) and projects to completion
  • Ability to coordinate, drive, and facilitate meetings and presentations.
