TEXO Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician to join the facilities team of our external client located in Hartlepool.
This key role covers the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a port environment, requiring expertise in HV switching, CompEx/ATEX compliance, and up to date knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on port infrastructure and buildings
- Install new electrical systems and infrastructure
- Work on CompEx/ATEX-certified environments including warehouses, gates, and automated systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot 240/415V motor systems and PLC drive systems
- Operate and maintain high-voltage (HV) electrical networks
Requirements:
- Time served Electrician with a minimum of 8 years experience
- Valid CompEx/ATEX certification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification (BS 7671:2018)
- Inspection and Testing Certificate (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- EV Installation Certificate C&G 2921-34
- HV Switching Qualification
- Electrical design, City & Guilds 2396
