TITLE: Fabricator FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly
REPORTS TO: Shop Manager SALARY RANGE:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fabricator works within all facets of fabrication including edge polishing, grinding, hole-drilling, stone repair, cutting & under mounting sinks.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Cut and glue laminate strips to size based on specified edge details.
2. Color match various types of resin glues to match stones.
3. Cut and sink holes to templates.
4. Grind edges with portable power tools.
5. Operate profiling machines.
6. Self-inspect work upon completion.
7. Responsible to meet quality expectations set forth by the Shop Manager for all work performed.
8. Responsible to meet production expectations set forth by the Shop Manager for all work performed.
9. Must have the ability to read and work from shop drawings and diagrams created from template.
10. Ability to measure, add, subtract make basic mathematical calculations etc.
11. Must be able to work in and adjust to varying production timelines typical in new home and commercial construction
12. Must have the ability to recognize fabricating issues and seek help from the Floor Supervisor to resolve and prevent repetitive mistakes that will adversely impact production.
13. Experience with proper and safe use of tools utilized in granite fabrication.
14. Basic knowledge of the stones commercially sold in the industry and an understanding of the varying characteristics of natural stone and engineered products.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 1+ year(s) fabrication of solid surface product.
3. Knowledge of working with granite, marble sandstone, tile and other interior finish products.
4. Excellent attention to detail and quality.
5. Excellent understanding of and adherence to all safety policies.
