TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cable Extrusion Operator on behalf our external client located in Dundee. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company specialising in high-quality cable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce specialist cables.
- Prepare raw materials (e.g., copper, fibre, polymer compounds).
- Perform routine maintenance and equipment cleaning.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards.
- Follow technical drawings and production instructions.
- Record production data and report any adjustments made.
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience in cable manufacturing or polymer extrusion.
- Skilled in operating extrusion equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read technical drawings and instructions.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Flexible with shift work.
