Reporting to the Head of Specialty Care Large Molecules External Site Team is accountable to manage and transform the Supply Chain Role within EM&S; Leads Supply Chain personnel.

Main Responsibilities:

The Head of Specialty Care Large Molecule Supply Chain Team will work:


in partnership

  • Head of the External Site Team, External Manufacturing Product Teams (EMPT) heads and other functional heads

  • External Manufacturing and Supply Central Supply Chain and Global Supply Chain teams


in alignment with EM&S business partners


  • Supports on time & in full delivery of products for CMOs & External Suppliers on Supply Chain responsibilities within the External Site Team (EST).

  • Accountable for reporting of EM&S +QDCI SC metrics.

  • Drives continuous improvement in the EST performance and supports performance improvement internally and at the CMO in areas of Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery.

  • Accountable for all aspects of people management for EST Supply Chain personnel and accountable for financial resource planning within budget, including generation and maintenance of labor model.

  • Supporting Sanofi's DE&I initiatives. Develops and maintains a positive culture to create the right environment for highly productive teams in a psychologically safe environment.

  • Responsible for ensuring alignment on all Supply Chain input in the financial planning processes including volume alignment, consolidation of inventory reconciliation activities in a compliant and timely manner, lead the internal material review board and serve as an advisor on all other supply chain topics related to the management of product/CMOs.

  • Drives Standardization & Simplification initiatives working with functional heads and the Center of Excellence Technology, SMS, and Digital team.

  • Support External Manufacturing Product Team & CMO Business Operations in the standardization of contracts.

  • Work with EST and Procurement on implementation of cost saving initiatives.

  • Serve as an advisor on problem resolution between Supply Chain personnel and internal or external business partners.

  • Work transversally with other functional heads within EST to standardize and optimize the CMO management processes.

  • Support EST in execution of related projects and sourcing activities as a CMO and product expert.

  • Act as key contact for Global Supply Chain (GSC).

  • Responsible to lead Material Review Board.


Technical skills

  • Broad knowledge and experience of Supply Chain topics and systems

  • Problem solving, technical writing, and verbal communication skills - clearly conveys

  • Basic or good understanding of data management and IA digital products

  • Knowledgeable in E2E product & industrial strategy, performance management, project management

  • Knowledgeable in biotech/pharmaceutical industry technologies

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Good command of KPI target setting & monitoring

    About You


    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain Management related field or equivalent

    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management roles ideally within biotech/pharmaceutical arena


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience within biotech/pharmaceutical industry

    • Prior experience supporting External Manufacturing / CMOs is preferred

    • Strong exposure to cross sites & cross GBUs networking is a plus

    • Fluent English
