Acloche is currently seeking an Ocean Export Clerk for our client located in Marysville, Ohio.

Our client is a global logistics company committed to providing innovative strategies and services to help their customers create a competitive advantage with secure, economic, and timely transport of goods.

The Ocean Export Clerk Import Agent is responsible for all aspects of assigned accounts by processing ocean import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts.

Assist with duties related to document preparation, traffic coordination and break bulk. Required to monitor the import process and ensure goods are processed through Customs and Border Protection for timely delivery.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Responsible for all assigned functions for export shipments
Ensures that all document preparation, coordination for the movement of goods from the shippers door to overseas destination(s), including but not limited to truck, rail, Air, Sea, and Customs records are 100% accurate
Ensure a 100% level of compliance with any government agency such as, Customs & Border Protection, Export
Administration regulations, Code of Federal regulations, or any other agency
Coordinate & monitor surface and rail transportation via Internet or phone to the departing ports of departure to make sure that the departure is completed timely
Process vendor costs and sales-related matters using an Oracle database.
Must keep accurate notes per shipment. Must review and update notes accordingly.
Must maintain a 99 %+ accuracy in the entry data process, classification and valuation.
Advise the Supervisor of any delays, problems and/or question any irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.
Handles routine notes and correspondence with the related parties involved on a per shipment basis.
Assist in promoting sales and expanding all revenue opportunities and increasing profit margins while keeping costs under strict control.
Maintain a positive attitude when conducting business with Customers, vendors and overseas agents.
