Are you a customer-focused professional with a knack for organization and communication? Norfolk Truck Center is seeking an Experienced Service Advisor to join our Service team at our 401 Copeland Drive location in Hampton, VA.

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the bridge between our customers and our skilled diesel technicians, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are handled efficiently, accurately, and with top-notch customer service.

What You'll Do:
  • Greet customers and assess their service needs, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
  • Open and manage work orders, keeping detailed records of customer concerns, technician diagnostics, and repair progress.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to customers about repair status, cost estimates, and service recommendations.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and repair timelines.
  • Verify warranty coverage and coordinate with manufacturers or extended warranty providers when applicable.
  • Promote additional services by educating customers on preventative maintenance and available service options.
  • Ensure parts availability by coordinating with the parts department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all repairs, ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer policies.
What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of customer service experience (preferably in medium/heavy duty truck service setting)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close sales
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of diesel trucks or heavy-duty vehicles (preferred but not required)
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Dealership Management Systems (CDK experience is a plus)
