Job Summary:
The Roofing Sales Representative is responsible for generating leads, conducting thorough roof inspections, presenting tailored roofing solutions, and closing sales. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of roofing systems and materials, and a proven track record of sales success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Proactively identify and develop new sales leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and online platforms.
- Generate and qualify leads through various marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers.
- Roof Inspections and Assessments:
- Conduct thorough roof inspections to assess damage and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
- Accurately measure and estimate roofing materials and labor costs.
- Document inspection findings with detailed reports and photographs.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals:
- Present roofing solutions to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
- Develop and deliver customized proposals that meet client needs and budgets.
- Explain roofing materials, installation processes, and warranty information.
- Address client questions and concerns professionally and effectively.
- Sales Closing and Contract Management:
- Close sales and secure contracts with clients.
- Ensure all contract details are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with the production team to schedule installations and ensure client satisfaction.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales and installation process.
- Follow up with clients after installation to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions.
- Stay up to date:
- Stay informed on current roofing products, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- 2 years proven sales experience in the roofing industry.
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft and Google Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to climb ladders, and walk on roofs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- HUGE bonus if you can read plans/blueprints
Compensation:
- Base pay + commission-based compensation structure.
- Potential for bonuses and incentives.
