Excellere Construction, LLC is a fast-growing company that specializes in the construction of road improvement projects and multi-use trails. Excellere executes infrastructure projects for Cities, Counties, and GDOT.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator in Road Improvement/Heavy Highway Construction (Civil Engineer). This person will work under the supervision of a Georgia registered Professional Engineer, PE.
Our Ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (MANDATORY)
- Over 5 years of experience managing road infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and can meet stringent deadlines
- Passed EIT exam big plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Duties:
- Plan all construction operations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control
- Coordinate/schedule sub-contractors
- Purchasing construction materials
- Prepare subcontractor agreement for sub-contractors
- Prepare submittals
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Prepare Request for Information as needed
- Prepare pay applications/invoices
- Review and approved invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
- Locate and research public bid offering for potential projects that are ideal for the company
- Interpret drawings and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Complete bid take offs by estimating material, equipment and labor quantity needed to complete the proposed project
- Request, compile and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to determine the best value
- Maintain and update construction related materials prices database
- Coordinate to prepare bid proposal packages
- Prepare estimate summary for bids and complete bid documents
- Attend bid openings and review post bid information to assure scopes of work is correct and accurate.
