Position Summary: General Sales Manager/General Manager We're looking for an experienced and driven leader to oversee our new and pre-owned vehicle sales departments. As General Sales Manager/General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance, mentoring your team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Hire, train, and lead sales department managers (new and used vehicles)
- Set and track monthly and annual sales objectives and profitability goals
- Develop and implement strategic plans for inventory, promotions, and advertising
- Monitor performance metrics, commission structures, and team productivity
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and industry standards
- Manage and maintain vehicle merchandising and showroom presentation
- Conduct weekly sales training and meetings to drive ongoing development
- Handle customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with the Executive management team to continuously improve operations
Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within a dealership
- Luxury automotive experience preferred
- Strong background in team development, performance management, and sales operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership CRM/software tools
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of federal, state, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening
