We are seeking dedicated and experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL Team Drivers to join our growing team. As an OTR CDL Team Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism while on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive as part of a team: Partner with another driver to ensure the continuous and efficient transport of freight over long distances.
- Transportation of goods: Safely operate a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) truck, delivering goods across regional and national routes.
- Adhere to safety regulations: Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Route planning: Communicate with dispatch to plan routes, manage deliveries, and handle any unforeseen delays.
- Ensure timely deliveries: Meet established deadlines for deliveries and pick-ups while adhering to all required time schedules.
- Vehicle maintenance: Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documents according to DOT regulations.
- Customer service: Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, ensuring freight is delivered as scheduled and customer satisfaction is upheld.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
- Minimum of 1 year OTR driving experience (team driving preferred).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to be away from home for extended periods.
- Ability to operate GPS and navigate unfamiliar routes.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
