Description Leidos is looking for a skilled Multi-Cloud Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will leverage your extensive experience in managing multi-cloud environments and architecture to drive innovative solutions, enforce governance models, automate processes for operational efficiency, and ensure the compliance of cloud resources.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cloud Administration:
- Deploy cloud resources while managing their lifecycle, compliance, and access restrictions.
- Develop and execute infrastructure-as-code deployments and leverage DevOps pipelines to manage cloud-native services.
- Oversee FinOps dashboards to track and optimize overall cloud and resource expenditure.
- Ensure the integrity and performance of critical data streams.
- Formulate and execute governance strategies addressing FinOps, compliance, tagging, and more.
- Network Infrastructure:
- Implement robust, high-availability network architectures and manage security and routing in a hybrid-cloud setup.
- Manage IP-based access rules, network address sourcing, and CIDR whitelists/blacklists.
- Establish and maintain cloud-based VPNs, VPN Gateways, peering connections, and relevant endpoints.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate clearly and promptly with DevSecOps teams to implement effective cloud-native solutions and maintain updated documentation of systems and network infrastructure.
- Engage in internal training initiatives to enhance knowledge sharing and enable informed decision-making across project teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to successful project outcomes by participating in application development lifecycles and building applications-as-code.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field along with 8+ years of experience in managing compute environments.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong background in cybersecurity principles, including implementing Azure Sentinel and managing regulatory compliance of cloud resources.
- Experience with networking concepts such as DNS, VPN, DHCP, TLS, IP subnetting, and routing.
- Proven ability to automate infrastructure tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated individual with a knack for independently solving problems.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with software development teams and clients.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Relevant cloud or security certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Certified Information System Security Professional.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Policy, or Azure EntraID.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
The salary range for this position is approximately $125,000 to $130,000.
