Ivar's Restaurants, the premier seafood restaurant company in the Pacific Northwest, is now hiring experienced line cooks (grill, pantry, sauté, etc.) to work mainly afternoon and evening shifts in the full-service kitchen of our Mukilteo location at 710 Front Street along the Mukilteo waterfront.
The pay for these positions will include an hourly wage between $21.00 and $24.00 plus a share of the tips from our generous guests.
Job requirements include:
- Preparing and cooking food items to company specifications
- Plating prepared foods based on chef's guidance
- Setting up, operating, breaking down, and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Assisting with washing dishes and sanitizing utensils when needed
- Upholding our high restaurant kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pantry, grill, sauté, or fry cook in a high-volume kitchen (seafood experience a plus), and possess:
- Availability to work evenings (until 10:30pm), weekends, and some holidays
- A love for food and an eye for detail with cooking (knowing weights, measurements, and volumes)
- Ability to learn our restaurant menu and recipes and multi-task in a fast-paced teamwork environment
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and continuously bend, reach, and twist
- A current Washington State Food Handler Card (we can provide information on how to obtain one)
