About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations, lead a team of 4-5 finance professionals, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. You will be expected to step in and support team tasks when needed, so hands-on experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, development, and performance management
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger processes
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports as required
- Review and improve financial processes to ensure efficiency and best practice
- Provide cover across the team during absences or busy periods, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Work closely with other departments to support business objectives and budgeting
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
- Provide assistance to the Financial Controller & Finance Director
Requirements:
- Minimum5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Proven experience managing a small to medium-sized finance team (4-5 staff)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on, flexible approach and willingness to step into operational tasks
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software
- Experience with Pegasus Opera
