We're seeking a confident and capableFinance Manager with a minimum of5 years' experience to lead a busy and dynamic finance team of 4-5 staff.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations, lead a team of 4-5 finance professionals, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. You will be expected to step in and support team tasks when needed, so hands-on experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance, development, and performance management
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger processes
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports as required
  • Review and improve financial processes to ensure efficiency and best practice
  • Provide cover across the team during absences or busy periods, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Work closely with other departments to support business objectives and budgeting
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
  • Provide assistance to the Financial Controller & Finance Director

Requirements:

  • Minimum5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proven experience managing a small to medium-sized finance team (4-5 staff)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on, flexible approach and willingness to step into operational tasks
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software
  • Experience with Pegasus Opera

Salary: £30k-£35k (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
