Atrium Health is seeking an inpatient Hepatology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for our AH Charlotte location.

Highlights of this role:

  • Inpatient, 7 days on/7 days off; occasional phone call coverage at night
  • You will be a part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to patients with a variety of liver disease
  • Join our team of Hepatologists, GI/liver fellow,?APPs, in house transplant coordinators, transplant pharmacist, social worker and dietician working together to provide team focused patient care

What you'll do:

  • Manage patients with cirrhosis and the associated complications, as well as management of patients undergoing liver transplant evaluation and post-transplant patients admitted to the hospital
  • Consultations, daily rounds, progress notes, H&Ps, discharges, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, provide patient/family education and counseling for patients with chronic liver disease/cirrhosis.

Who you are:

  • Experienced APP with at least 2 years of either Gastroenterology experience, Hepatology/transplant or hospitalist medicine preferred
  • New grads considered if completing an APP fellowship, such as hospitalist medicine, ICU medicine or critical care
  • Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master's Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • APP who has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
