Expanded Assortment Planners are responsible for the overall financial direction of eCommerce & Expanded Assortment with the goal of meeting / exceeding sales, margin, and EBITDA targets. Additionally, Expanded Assortment Planners are responsible for developing seasonal merchandise financial plans for eCommerce & Expanded Assortment. Expanded Assortment Planners must have a strong business acumen and understanding of Merchandising, Planning, Ecommerce and Supply Chain.

Job Functions:
  • Develop seasonal financial plans that support financial goals for sales, gross margin, and EBITDA.
  • Analyze in-season performance of expanded assortment product and vendors. Communicate strategies to support site-wide objectives.
  • Provide assortment and vendor recommendations based on profitability and productivity of owned inventory Vendors and Drop Ship vendors.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and EBITDA as part of the weekly operational meetings and make recommendations for actions needed to further maximize sales and margin.
  • Evaluate promotional activity and profitability of sales promotions and coupons and provide recommendations to future events to maximize gross margins and EBITDA.
  • Work cross-functionally with Drop Ship and Digital Merchant teams to monitor vendor performance and make recommendations to maximize profitability.
  • Effectively communicate and present business strategies and direction to various levels of management across all categories of business.
  • Work cross functionally and partner with Supply Chain, Ecommerce, Marketing and Merchants groups to support strategic and financial objectives.
  • Provide Ad Hoc reporting on a daily/weekly basis to support and provide direction on business needs.
  • Process and organize large volumes of raw financial data to support expanded assortment business processes and reports.
  • Develop creative solutions to business opportunities.
Position Contribution Level :

Intermediate Level

Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of comparable experience
  • 4-7 years of retail experience; 3-5 years in merchandising or financial planning or forecasting in a multi-channel retail environment.
  • Previous Experience with Drop Ship Vendor management preferred.
  • Previous experience in Omni-Channel preferred
  • Experience with SAS, JDA, Oracle or similar planning system.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient in business-related Microsoft 365 suite products (Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, etc). Advanced Excel and Access experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams
  • Expertise running queries against data (preferably with SQL) is preferred.
Physical
  • Hybrid - In office Tuesday thru Thursday mandatory, Remote work Monday & Friday.
