Exercise Physiologist (Cardiac Rehab)

The region's leading network of healthcare providers, Inspira Health, is seeking a licensed Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehab team. We will rely on you to provide cardiopulmonary care, support, and education based on the cardiac rehabilitation needs of each patient. The EP will develop therapeutic and preventive exercise plans aligned with the guidelines set by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and hospital policies. This is a part time, day shift position.

Responsibilities:
Analyze assessment data to identify and prioritize issues for patients with cardiopulmonary rehabilitation needs as directed by their physician
Evaluate medical records and thoroughly interview patients to clarify medical history and goals
Develop exercise prescription plans to achieve specific realistic outcomes and adjust treatment according to patient needs
Apply practices of preventive and therapeutic cardiac rehabilitation to restore and maintain optimal physiological, psychological, social, vocational and emotional wellbeing
Provide education and instruction to patients and patients' family to maintain cardiopulmonary health

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in exercise science or health science required; Master's degree preferred
1 year experience required; 1 year experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation preferred
BLS certification required; Dysrhythmia competency within 3 months of hire required
ACSM Exercise Physiologist (EP) certification required; ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification preferred
Travel within the Inspira network may be required for operational coverage
