OVERVIEW:

As an Executive Meeting Manager, you will be responsible for prospecting, negotiating contracts, planning, and coordinating group meetings. You will also be responsible for negotiating meeting and guest room rates and catering options for executive/business group meetings. You will strive to achieve or exceed personal guest room and food and beverage goals as well as team related revenue goals; ensure business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery; and drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prospects for potential clients and solicits new and repeat business through cold calling, telemarketing, lead follow up, telemarketing, referrals, internet prospecting, site tours, sales blitz activity, and other means deemed appropriate.
  • Plans, up-sells, and coordinates meeting/function specifics with clients to include space requirements and layout, meeting times, audio-visual equipment, menus, billing, etc.
  • Prepares and executes sales/catering contracts, event orders, group resumes to ensure quality product delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicates details and requirements for Executive Meeting events both internally and externally via written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain accurate files and correspondence.
  • Greets Executive Meeting guests upon arrival and reviews event plans with event leaders.
  • Ensures that rooms are correctly set and ready 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry personnel and accounts.
  • Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and participates in task forces and committees as requested.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Comply with quality assurance standards.
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years or hospitality sales or event experience
  • Knowledgeable with Marriott Systems (CI, Lightspeed, etc.)
