Job Summary The Executive Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (IEA) will lead Univeristy-wide strategies for institutional research, academic data analytics, data trends and visualization, program evaluation, instructional assessment, research design, will provide leadership to the IEA office, and serve as team member and advisor for related matters to the Office of the Provost and the broader multi-campus community. The position will provide leadership in data and trend analytics and reporting for institutional and programmatic accreditation, including SACSCOC reaffirmation, QEP implementation and completion, and IPEDS reporting. This position supervises the full-time, part-time and temporary positions within the IEA office, and works broadly with University leadership, College leadership, faculty and non-academic divisions. Serve on division, university and system committees as assigned. This position reports to the Vice Provost.

Responsibilities Leadership -
Provide strategic leadership to the IEA office.

Data Analytics -
Provide guidance and complete data analytics on various academic and non-academic data

Supervisory -
Provide leadership, staff supervision and guidance in completing data analysis and visualization projects, including personal responsibility in project completion, compliance and outcomes

Compliance Evaluation -
Guide, supervise and take personal responsibility in completion, compliance and outcomes of University-wide assessment and evaluation projects

Innovation Analytics -
Provide strategic leadership in identifying and implementing innovative approaches in data analysis and visualization, and assessment and evaluation

Special Projects -
Lead special projects and complete other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
Master's degree

Other Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience with assessment required. Statistical and Analytic knowledge is required. Familiarity with IPEDS reporting. Supervisory experience required.

Required Experience
3 years experience with institutional research

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications
Earned doctorate from a regionally-accredited institution preferred.

Preferred Experience
Experience with accreditation preferred. Knowledge of SAS, SPSS PowerBI, Tableau and Qlik preferred. Familiarity woth USG and UWG reporting preferred. Familiarity with Banner and Argos preferred. General understanding of data files in an environment without data warehouse. Knowledge of Assessment as it relates to Academic Programs and Student Learning Outcomes, General Education, Strategic Planning, and Operational Success. Knowledge of Faculty Credentialing. Knowledge or experience with ranking surveys and the data that are typically requested.

Proposed Salary Salary is commensurate with experience.
