CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by Episcopal Communities and Services (ECS) to identify an Executive Director to serve their team. Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Executive Director is responsible for planning, directing and managing the overall operations of the community to ensure financial viability and quality of care to residents. The individual is responsible for the daily operational management of the community in compliance with corporate and community policies and procedures, federal, state, and local health and human service regulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for effective operations and day-to-day decision making at the community and emergency situations within the approved budget and policies.
  • Develops and maintains excellent relationships with the residents and team members of the community ensuring high levels of resident and team satisfaction and engagement.
  • Recruits, hires, develops, and manages the performance of department managers and other direct reports, plus oversight of overall community team members with the ability to demonstrate, support and/or hold the team accountable to ECS's core values.
  • Maintains the financial viability of the community by keeping abreast of developments in the senior housing and long-term care industry, identifying and focusing on priority issues.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President Sales & Marketing and sales team, ensures the development of marketing plans, which maintain the competitive strength and viability in the community and result in full occupancy and a waiting list of qualified applicants while ensuring quality services to the residents.
  • Maintains positive interactions with the local community by contact with community leaders and participates in community service activities and other appropriate activities, which foster ECS' and community reputation.
  • In conjunction with the department managers, develops and manages the community operational and capital budgets and makes adjustments and decisions throughout the fiscal year to hit operational targets.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Gerontology, Hospitality, Healthcare Administration or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience of 5+ years of senior leadership experience in a CCRC environment
  • Certification in Residential Care for the Elderly in California (RCFE) or the ability to obtain the certification
  • Promotes and respects the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident, family and staff member in all interactions
  • Enforces safety practices, HIPAA rules, department standards and policies.
  • Oversees corporate compliance, risk management, privacy programs and emergency preparedness policies and procedures at the community level.
  • Maintains accountability for understanding and following company and department policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policy and Procedure Manual.
