Our client is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director who will lead fundraising and play a critical role in shaping the operational infrastructure of the Yeshiva. This position combines donor cultivation, campaign strategy, and revenue generation with key administrative oversight-ideal for a leader who wants to help build something meaningful from the inside out.
Responsibilities:Development & Fundraising (50%) - Lead all aspects of fundraising to meet or exceed a $600K+ annual target.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and foundations.
- Design and execute capital campaign strategy for new campus acquisition.
- Plan and manage donor events: parlor meetings, Shabbatons, fundraising dinners.
- Partner with marketing to develop donor messaging and storytelling assets.
- Maintain donor database, gift tracking, and follow-up procedures.
Organizational Strategy & Executive Leadership - Serve as a thought partner to the Rosh Yeshiva in setting and executing strategic growth goals.
- Represent the Yeshiva externally with professionalism and passion.
- Translate vision into practical systems, processes, and timelines for growth.
Administrative & Operational Oversight - Financial Operations: Coordinate with bookkeepers/accountants on budget planning, donor receipting, financial reporting, and documentation for banking or compliance needs.
- Payroll & HR: Manage payroll processing, staff onboarding documentation, and vendor/contractor payments.
- Facilities & Leases: Oversee leases, insurance, maintenance contracts, and other campus-related logistics (for both current and future campuses).
- Technology & Infrastructure: Ensure systems are in place for document management, donor tracking, communication, and organizational data.
Internal Coordination - Set and track performance goals and KPIs for development milestones.
- Lead weekly check-ins with staff and/or Yeshiva leadership to keep initiatives on track.
- Provide progress reports and updates to the Rosh Yeshiva and any advisory committees or board.
Qualifications:- Proven success in fundraising ($500K+ annually preferred), including major gifts and campaigns.
- Experience in nonprofit operations, administration, or executive-level leadership.
- Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., budgeting, payroll, donor receipting).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through abilities.
- Passion for kiruv, chinuch, and supporting bnei Torah.
- Familiarity with the frum community and sensitivity to its values and structure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-growing environment.
