POSITION: Executive Assistant LOCATION: El Segundo, CA REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active TS with SCI eligibility POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Full time, 40 hours THE OPPORTUNITY: Upon award, BTAS will be filling potential openings for the Space Systems Command (SSC). SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs. As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide executive-level administrative support for business operations, including office management, personnel and human resources management, and data management. Conduct research, prepare reports, and handle information requests related to personnel records, mail distribution, office support, and staff coordination. Manage executive schedules and government travel, including booking and reimbursement processing via the Defense Travel System. Coordinate meetings, events, and conventions, including scheduling, planning, and execution. Analyze, interpret, and monitor tasks to ensure deadlines are met, including responding to internal and external organizational inquiries and Task Management Tool (TMT) tasks. Review and coordinate performance reports and documents to ensure compliance with Space Systems Command, Space Force, Air Force, and DoD policies. Develop, maintain, and transition functional databases to support mission requirements, ensuring alignment with standard government-approved databases and software. Manage government civilian recordkeeping and human resource functions, including identifying vacancies, processing personnel requests, security waivers, and manpower change requests. Support and administer meetings and reviews, including scheduling, security controls, capturing action items, recording minutes, and disseminating key information. Assist with processing military and civilian awards and decorations, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring timelines, preparing packages, and supporting awards board voting. Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Suite applications, including Microsoft Project. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Highly experienced performing military and/or civilian executive-level support services, protocol, information management, and administrative support activities. Includes specifically the areas of Executive Staff Support Functions, Military Protocol Information Management/Operations Support, and demonstrated ability to interface with Senior Leadership within the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development contractor arena, of which four years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of Department of Defense programs. Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Defense Civ Personnel Data Sys, Customer Supp Unit App, Online Unit Manning Doc. Requires BA/BS degree. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not supervise the work of others. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%. TRAVEL: Little if any travel is required. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
