JOB BRIEF:

Ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact in the future of education? Our client, a mission-driven edtech startup, is on the hunt for a proactive, detail-obsessed Executive Assistant to support their powerhouse CEO. This isn't your average EA gig-it's a chance to become a strategic right-hand to a leader who values clarity, kindness, and results.

The CEO moves fast, communicates directly (and expects the same), and needs someone who sees what needs to get done before being asked. You won't just manage a calendar-you'll help manage time, energy, and focus. This fully remote role operates on Central Time (9-5 CT), and you'll work in a smart, mission-driven environment full of people who value transparency, feedback, and purposeful hustle.

This fully remote role offers a competitive salary of $70,000-$90,000/year, making it ideal for someone eager to combine purpose with career growth. If you're energized by the idea of working in Google Drive, Miro, Slack, and Fathom all before noon-and you're the kind of person who takes "let me know how I can help" seriously-this is your opportunity to be a force multiplier at a growing startup doing deeply meaningful work.

THE JOB:

  • Calendar Management: Own the CEO's schedule like a pro-triage, prioritize, and keep everything running with speed and intention
  • Inbox + Communications: Help manage correspondence, prep agendas, and support responsive, high-clarity communication
  • Travel & Logistics: Book flights, hotels, handle last-minute pivots with poise and precision
  • Expenses & Reporting: Track and submit expenses with accuracy and timeliness
  • Systems + Tools: Manage contracts (DocuSign), update org charts, support contact and knowledge management
  • Platforms You'll Use: Slack, Airtable, Google Calendar/Drive, Miro, Fathom, and Catalyst's proprietary tech
  • Culture Keeper: Help make sure operations reflect the CEO's core values: direct communication, deep kindness, and high performance

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have 5+ years supporting C-level leaders, preferably in nonprofit or fast-paced mission-driven orgs
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree (Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
  • You're proactive to your core-"What's next?" is your favorite question
  • You're high EQ + high IQ-you think clearly, write cleanly, and bring calm to chaos
  • You're a toolbox nerd-you've worked in Slack, Google Workspace, Airtable, Miro, and know your way around digital platforms

PERKS AND BENEFITS:

This full-time role includes a competitive salary of $70K-$90K, plus health insurance, 403(b) matching, and generous time off-including two weeks at year-end, a full week during July 4th, and three weeks of flexible PTO, plus unlimited sick days. You'll work with a kind, focused, and collaborative team making a tangible difference in education equity across the country.
