LEAD3R are partnering with a fast-growing biotech company in Brisbane, CA to identify a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager. This individual will play a key role in supporting executive leadership while ensuring operational efficiency across both business and lab functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in life sciences operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional coordination in a dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as the primary operations lead for internal business processes and laboratory support. You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to streamline administrative functions, manage internal documentation systems, and lead internal communications efforts across the organization.
You will coordinate key functions such as budgeting for general operations and lab expenditures, support hiring processes including onboarding and offboarding, and act as a liaison between internal departments and external vendors. From planning company-wide meetings to managing ongoing office and lab needs, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
In addition, you will provide strategic operational support to laboratory staff overseeing inventory, procurement logistics, equipment tracking, and facilities coordination. You will also ensure that shipments (including specialized items requiring vendors like World Courier) are handled with accuracy and compliance.
You'll help monitor the flow of work delegated across Accounting, R&D, and People Ops, stepping in where needed to ensure timely execution of company goals. This role calls for someone who thrives on structure but can adapt quickly when priorities shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- 6-8 years of operational experience, ideally in biotech, life sciences, or a lab-based organization
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, with a focus on process improvement
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with inventory and procurement workflows, including regulated shipments
- Experience with internal tools such as Google Suite and Excel
