Position Description The Town of Marana is seeking an
Executive Assistant to work in the Development Services Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment with new opportunities every day. This is a responsible and varied clerical position that will provide administrative support to upper management and the entire department, acting as the main point of contact for Development Services Administration.

Expected Hiring Range: $22.31 - $27.33 per hour
Salary Range: $22.31 - $32.34 per hour
- Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Examples of Duties- Provides administrative support to the Director of the Development Services department.
- Serves as Board Secretary for the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment.
- Coordinates the agenda preparation for Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment and maintains primary responsibility for the timely posting of public notices and meeting agendas.
- Attends regular evening board meetings and oversees recording and preparation of the minutes.
- Maintains calendars and schedules. Schedules meetings, as needed.
- Monitors department budget and expenditures, assists with new budget preparation, processes reports.
- Tracks expenses and payments, processes invoices and purchase orders.
- Reconciles monthly credit card statements.
- Processes department payroll.
- Processes and submits travel arrangements and related travel reconciliation.
- Assists in the hiring processes for department positions.
- Maintains office supply inventory for department. Orders supplies, as needed.
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- Maintains professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.
- Provides administrative support to the department, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate's degree in public administration, business administration, or related field.
- Three or more years of performing administrative and clerical duties at an executive level, or closely related field.
- Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: - Proficient in the use of computer programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Experience working with elected officials or governing bodies.
