Position Summary
The primary location of this position is on-site at the Cullowhee, NC campus.

The Executive Assistant (EA) is an executive level administration position in support of to the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) and assists the dean of the college with a variety of tasks. This position requires high-level communication and organizational skills.

The EA must be able to work in a team-based environment, collaborating effectively with multiple units across campus to successfully execute functions, events, and programs that support the college. The EA should understand university systems and policies.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Office Management & Maintain the dean's calendar
  • Purchasing and receiving
  • Process personnel documents
  • Event planning
  • Assist with marketing and website management
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of Students, Faculty, and Staff
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in Microsoft Oce applications
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work as a team member, or individually.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience;

or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
