This position provides high level administrative support to the Cannabis Expungement Board's (CEB's) leadership team, serves as receptionist for the CEB office, and acts as CEB liaison to CEB Board members. The incumbent will communicate on many levels with agency staff, board members, the Governor's Office, legislative staff, various external partners, other agency staff, and the public.
High-level administrative support includes managing the documentation and record-keeping of the agency, scheduling meetings and managing calendars, making travel arrangements, originating purchase orders, and preparing reports and special projects as assigned. Receptionist responsibilities include greeting and coordinating clients, visitors, and deliveries. Board liaison responsibilities include coordinating the scheduling of meetings, providing on-site support during meetings, communicating with board members, and maintaining documentation and records in accordance with open meeting law requirements.
This person works in a highly confidential and sensitive environment and accordingly ensures the timely communication and workflow in the agency. This person must possess a high level of confidentiality and trust as well as exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Minimum Qualifications To be qualified for and considered for this position, ensure that your

- English language skills sufficient to prepare correspondence and documents for use by leadership using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Word processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office Suite, sufficient to prepare memos, letters and reports.
- Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information on the phone, in person, through email and other written correspondence
- Spreadsheet skills, preferably Microsoft Excel, sufficient to design, develop and manipulate spreadsheets
- Ability to develop, modify, evaluate, and improve administrative and program procedures
Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:
- An advanced degree
- Experience as an office assistant
- Experience providing executive level support and assistance, including schedule management
- Experience with managing board meetings
- Experience with database, document, and records management
- Experience with office management and supply procurement
