Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000. Placement in the range is commensurate with experience.

The Dalton School seeks a full-time team professional to join a dynamic office starting July 2025. The Executive/Administrative Assistant will provide proactive and effective administrative support to three senior administrators, the two Assistant Heads of School, and the Chief Advancement Officer. The individual should have an understanding of, and appreciation for, The Dalton School's mission, enjoy multitasking, and have the talent and ability to successfully work with colleagues.
Responsibilities: - Provide administrative support in a professional, confidential, and organized manner. Administrative support includes monitoring, routing, and drafting correspondence, managing incoming telephone calls, filing, copying, and welcoming visitors.
- Attend and take minutes for Board Committee meetings and events (some early mornings and evenings required).
- Schedule meetings and manage individual and departmental calendars for the Assistant Heads of School and the Chief Advancement Officer.
- Manage and update event calendars for the Advancement Team (MasterLibrary, School Calendar, Google Calendar).
- Order supplies, stationery, and materials for all office members of at the 1065 Park Ave location.
- Plan and organize meetings and take minutes as needed for the Assistant Heads of School and Chief Advancement Officer.
- Responsible for Raiser's Edge address updates.
- Assist with editing and proofing written and digital materials, including social media content.
- Maintain the office budget and manage invoices, reimbursements, and receipts for three school credit cards.
- Deposit checks for the Business Office (Donations, Operations, and Tuition)
- As a member of the Advancement team, help with projects/events for Advancement and Alumni Office (some evenings required).
- Research and draft the Spring and Fall Stewardship Report letters for the Advancement Office.
- Perform new family research over the summer for the Advancement Office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Demonstrate proficiency using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Internet Browsers and other PC and Mac based applications.
- Raiser's Edge experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to communicate equally well with staff, faculty, administrators, parents, and board members in the school community.
- Interest in a career in an educational setting.
- Ability to work with confidential material.
- A sense of humor is helpful.
