BDS are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker for a large charitable organisation who provide housing support to ex-offenders and those on bail conditions in the Peterbourgh area.
The main focus of this role is to provide housing related support to vulnerable individuals together with providing housing and property management with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes including supporting service users to achieve independence.
Experience;
- Experience of working in social or supported housing delivering housing management and housing related support or in the criminal justice sector.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people with a range of support needs.
Main duties will include but are not limited too;
- Supporting tenants to manager their tenancy and assist with benefits claims
- Signposting to relevant organisations.
- Ensuring the correct tenancies are issued and ensure the tenant understands an accepts the tenancy obligations.
- Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arears management policies and procedures.
This is a full time role- 35hrs paid, Late and early shifts pattens. 8-4pm and 2-10pm (occassional saturday)
You must be a driver with access to a vehicle
You must hold an enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
Pay rate- £14.61ph PAYE- £19.28ph UMB
This ia minimum 9 month contract wiht chance to extend following this
