YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
- Proactively identify and build relationships with potential event clients to drive new business
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed event revenue targets
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial inquiry through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, goals, and budget to create tailored event experiences
- Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinate all event logistics with internal teams to ensure alignment
- Oversee event day operations, ensuring seamless execution and a high level of guest satisfaction
- Evaluate event success and provide detailed feedback and reporting to GM's and Chefs
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field highly desired
- 2+ years of experience as an Event Sales Manager (or comparable role) in hospitality field
- Experience with Tripleseat, Toast, and OpenTable; proficient in MS Office
- Strong understanding of KPIs, marketing strategies, and event sales best practices
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, customer-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with leadership qualities and a service-driven mindset
- Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed'
- Must live local and have a book of clients in DC area - not a remote role, work is on-site
