Hotel Anna & Bel, nestled in the vibrant Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Events and Experience Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for event sales, group bookings, and onsite event execution to create exceptional guest experiences and foster strong community relationships. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sourcing and closing group business, including room blocks and food & beverage packages, while ensuring seamless event execution. A background in corporate or catering event management is strongly preferred. Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
• Actively source, solicit, and close group business , including event spaces, room blocks, and food & beverage packages.
• Respond promptly to event and group inquiries, converting high-quality leads into confirmed bookings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, social planners, and community organizations to drive revenue.
• Create and present customized proposals and contracts tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Corporate Director of Sales to strategically grow group sales revenue. Event Planning & Execution
• Oversee all aspects of event coordination, from initial planning to onsite execution.
• Work closely with clients to bring their vision to life , providing expert guidance and recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including catering, operations, and front-of-house staff , to ensure flawless event execution.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and guidelines. Contracting & Administrative Duties
• Handle the contracting process , including proposal creation, negotiation, and agreement finalization.
• Maintain accurate records of event details, client interactions, and sales data in the hotel's event management and CRM systems.
• Provide post-event follow-ups and collect feedback to enhance future offerings.
• Assist with editing menu updates and designing display signage as needed. Networking & Relationship Building
• Actively network and attend industry events, trade shows, and local business gatherings to generate new leads.
• Represent the hotel as a brand ambassador, increasing visibility and referrals within the community. Market Analysis & Reporting
• Stay informed on local market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, market feedback, and event performance metrics to the General Manager. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
• Ensure all events exceed client expectations through attention to detail and exceptional service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events, resolving any issues promptly and professionally. Collaboration & Leadership
• Lead BEO (Banquet Event Order) and resume meetings to align and communicate across all departments.
• Work closely with the Corporate Director of Sales and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events. Qualifications:
• Proven experience in event sales, group sales, or catering sales , preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to generate leads and close sales for events, group room blocks, and F &B packages.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Proficiency in event management software and CRM systems.
• Knowledge of the Fishtown area and local businesses is a plus.
• Hotel catering experience is highly preferred. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 yearly
