Upbring is looking for an Events & Volunteer Manager to lead the charge in planning exciting community events, statewide walks, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives. Your Mission in Action

The Events & Volunteer Manager handles Upbring's community engagement events, which are designed to engage, cultivate, and steward existing and prospective donors. These initiatives include state-wide walks, community events, and peer-to-peer fundraising. Assists with other Upbring events, and campaigns as needed. This position is responsible for creating a robust volunteer program, developing and strengthening relationships with volunteers. Lastly, this role includes heavy emphasis on raising awareness of Upbring through strategic engagement efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Design, grow, and manage a comprehensive volunteer program, including recruitment, training, onboarding, recognition, and retention strategies that foster meaningful and long-term engagement in partnership with programs across the state
  • In partnership with the Director of Special Events, plan, organize and execute local and regional engagement events
  • Responsible for management and growth of Upbring's Statewide Hope in Motion Walk
  • Responsible for attending local and regional tabling and engagement initiatives
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, assisting with logistics such as registration, vendor coordination, timelines, and onsite volunteer management
  • Identifies, designs, and implements peer-to-peer fundraisers, reaches out to individuals and groups, and motivates them to participate in peer-to-peer fundraising and events
  • Work closely with the Director of Donor Relations & Engagement to ensure that volunteer and event initiatives align with organizational goals and mission
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Public Relations, or closely related field; and/or a combination of education and experience in lieu of degree
  • Two (2) years of experience in roles focused on events, communications and/or customer service
  • Valid TX Driver's license and personal auto insurance

  • Raiser's Edge experience
  • Previous experience working within child welfare
